Hey there, my friend, welcome to episode 320 of the Small Business Made Simple Podcast.
Thanks for leading me your ears right now – I know you have lots of other things you could be doing or listening to – so I appreciate you.
Today my guest, Rachel Smith and I are talking Websites. We concentrate so much of our marketing time and energy on socials – so today I’m helping you think about that asset you DO own; you DO have full control over and SHOULD be giving love to – your website! Rachel has 6 Cs to share with us!
But before we get into that, did you have a chance to listen to last week’s episode? It was around Meta ads. It’s at this time of the year that we start to play around with ads, so the timing of “what not to do” couldn’t be more perfect! If you haven’t listened in, take a listen to episode 319 on your favourite podcast app or here: www.socialmediaandmarketing.com.au/319
Also, have you grabbed yourself a copy of my book Small Town Big Impact with 107 Simple Marketing Strategies for Regional Business Success. If you haven’t got a copy yet, go to www.socialmediaandmarketing.com.au and get a copy. It is available on Amazon – so you can get a kindle or hard copy there too – but I’d prefer you get it from my website! I have just picked up the next print run of the book – which means, holy cow, that’s there are already a thousand copies of my book out in the big wide world (and some have even gone overseas!).
As I said in the intro, I have a guest on this week – Rachel Smith. Rachel is a committed word nerd who started in journalism, writing for a huge range of magazines and websites. These days, most of Rachel’s work is as a copywriter; she specialises in website copy, emails and helping businesses with hit-the-spot messaging.
Rachel’s other hat is as the founder for Rachel’s List, a jobs board and community for other writers like her. She also co-hosts the podcast, The Content Byte.
Rachel is going to go through the 6C’s for us and help us get our websites converting beautifully so we have whistle a happy tune that we have that ticked off our list!
Here’s Rachel.
