Did you have a listen into last week’s episode? It was my heartfelt plea to small business owners to show up, to be more present, to just be more online for their communities. It was borne from my frustrations, but hopefully, the message will get through. Head back there if you didn’t get a chance to listen in already- click here to listen to ep 246 – www.socialmediaandmarketing.com.au/246
A few things before I get into today’s episode – it’s an interview that you aren’t going to want to miss! But first, I have a EOFY sale going – yep! Me! It is actually $500 off my 6 Week Mastermind Program that is running from Wednesday 19th July to Wednesday 30th August (I know that’s 7 weeks, but there is a reason, I promise!) – I only take 8 people for this mini mastermind to keep it intimate and so that you can get the most of me from it. The sale of $500 off is only until 30th June 2023 – so check out the webpage and sing out with any questions. It’s for you if you are looking at the back half of 2023 and thinking, I need to get my marketing butt into gear and need some help with that – 4 spots have already been taken – check it all out there: https://bit.ly/mastermindwithjenn
And of course, a shout out to this week’s sponsor of the podcast is Cloudhouse Consulting. Imagine working with someone who loves YOUR numbers! Think less stress and 100% support! Think Bronwyn and the team at Cloudhouse Consulting. Bronwyn, from Cloudhouse Consulting was actually a guest on the podcast on episode 158 – so head back there if you haven’t listened to that one. It was all about 3 reasons why you need to keep an eye on your numbers. Because that’s what the team at Cloudhouse Consulting do – support you to grow your business. They are the team you need on hand to master the basics but they also have the other stuff covered as well! I love Bronwyn’s eBook titled Kitchen Table Empires, because how many of us are literally building empires around our kitchen tables! The eBook is a reference guide on everything to do with business including GST registration, employment basics, cash flow and budgeting. Check out Cloudhouse Consulting and get the ebook here: https://www.cloudhouse.consulting/
Now into the episode – let’s talk domains – website domains. My guest today is Rosemary Sinclair from auDA. You might never have heard of auDA, but they have been working away quietly in the background keeping your Australian based website safe.
Rosemary is a highly qualified guest and we had a great chat. But a little on Rosemary for you before we start, she has over 25 years’ experience as a non-executive and managing director serving on private company, federal government and international level association boards. She has extensive senior governance experience in highly regulated sectors – telecommunications, media, higher education.
Rosemary is passionate about digital technology and transformation and has extensive government and industry networks across communications, IT and media.
Rosemary is a member Chief Executive Women 2022 and was a finalist in the 2018 AFR QANTAS Top 100 Women of Influence Awards. She was awarded an AM Order of Australia, June 2018. So again, I am pretty chuffed she’s come on my podcast to talk to you and me, of course!
I am going to let Rosemary explain to you who auDA is and why they are so important to you and I and anyone else who has a website that ends in com.au or just .au – so here’s my chat. Be ready to be impressed!

I hope you enjoyed that interview – I found it just so interesting. I had not heard of auDA until I did some digging a few years back and really do feel they work quietly behind the scenes, as Rosemary says, keeping us all happy and safe!
I would highly recommend you become a member of .auDA – a free member – the link is in the show notes, but if you go to auda.org.au and hit become a member – you will see it there.
